To achieve this, we follow a child-initiated learning approach where the children are supported in reaching the highest levels of involvement and are encouraged to learn independently.
We provide open ended provocations for learning to promote natural curiosity and to support the children to reach the highest levels of engagement and Wellbeing. Children are encouraged to become independent learners with the highly skilled staff team scaffolding and supporting their learning through significant teachable moments. To implement this our team will interact at the correct moments to enhance learning and avoid interfering in the children’s learning. The impact of this approach will be that the children become key to their environments with the provision becoming flexible to their ever-changing needs and interest.

The team at Daisy Chain is very diverse with a mixture of experience levels, ages and personalities. They are friendly and outgoing and are always willing to help with anything they can or point you in the right direction. All of our team are fully dedicated to giving the best care and attention to the children whilst pushing the boundaries of expectation to ensure they are steadily working towards their early learning goals and providing them with the best possible base for the future. We provide an environment of continuous learning where training is regularly updated and refreshed to ensure the best possible knowledge for all of our staff members. We encourage our team to reach for their highest goals supporting many of them through higher education and beyond.
Exciting news! We’ve bid farewell to apetito and welcomed a skilled cook to craft our nutritionally balanced menus.
At Daisy Chain we have 3 rooms separating the children according to their age and their abilities. We have a sensory room for use by under 2’s children and also an imagination room for the older children to use. We have a separate room for babies under 2 years which has its own milk kitchen and nappy change area. Each age group has its own garden area to use with the Toddler room offering an outdoor sand shed and a painting swing.
All children are welcome at Daisy Chain and differences are supported and celebrated by all. We encourage all of our children to learn about each other and tell others about themselves to promote equality and diversity within the community. The children are supported in understanding basic rules and boundaries in a friendly helpful manner and are encouraged to share their skills and knowledge with others. The children and families at Daisy Chain often start as strangers and leave as friends.
